Job Description

Dis-Chem Pharmacies requires a Health Merchandiser for their Hemmingways store. Your responsibilities lie in ensuring Dis-Chem's basic merchandising standards are properly executed and maintained. Provide customers with outstanding customer service.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Up to 6 months' retail experience
  • Computer literate - MS Office
  • Willing and able to work retail hours

Advantageous

  • Diploma or degree within the Health Focus category
  • At least 1 year retail experience

Job Responsibilities

  • Restock merchandise as per business requirements
  • Ensure delivered stock is stored and packed correctly
  • Maintain full product range on shelves at all times
  • Facilitate stock rotation (First In First Out)
  • Assist with general stocktaking
  • Ensure shelves are neatly presented with correct labels and pricing
  • Build and maintain merchandising displays
  • Assist with back shopping
  • Resolve customer stock queries

  • Strong command of English

  • Trustworthy and honest
  • Time management

Advantageous:

  • Bilingual
  • Knowledge of merchandising standards and FMCG industry
  • Product and category knowledge
  • Ability to analyze ZMORE reports
  • SAP and Unisolv experience

Special Conditions

  • Willing to work retail hours
  • Physically fit to lift and move heavy boxes
  • Reliable transport and/or reside nearby
  • South African citizen
  • Clear credit and criminal records
