Aphile Amahle Ndlovu, (R9 000) tragically died by suicide

An 18-year-old girl, Aphile Amahle Ndlovu, tragically died by suicide in Inanda, KZN.

The incident followed a distressing event involving her bank account. Amahle was attempting to withdraw R9,000 when the ATM unexpectedly retained her card. Subsequently, the entire sum disappeared from the account.

Overwhelmed by fear and anxiety about facing her parents, Amahle returned home and excused herself to the bathroom. There, she penned a letter of apology before making the heartbreaking decision to end her life.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, highlighting the immense pressure young people face and the critical need for improved mental health support.
